Microsoft Reports 10% Profit Jump For Q42013

The results are in. Microsoft recently reported a 10% jump in profits over the same quarter last year with a staggering $19.9 Billion Dollars in revenue and nearly $5 Billion in net income.

If broken down, the divisions within Microsoft reported the following:

 

        • Windows - $4.411 billion revenue/$1.09 billion profit loss
        • Online Services - $800 million revenue/$372 million loss
        • Servers and Tools - $5.502 billion revenue/$2.33 billion profit loss
        • Entertainment and Devices - $1.915 billion revenue/$110 million loss
        • Business Division - $7.231 billion revenue/$4.87 billion profit loss

 

While the focus is shifting worldwide toward Devices and Online services, this is where Microsoft didn't fair as well pulling in net losses. A recent reorganization of the company is intended to fix that.
