The year is still relatively young and it is around this time where many either forget or abandon their new year's resolutions. If there were a top ten of new year's goals, fitness and health would probably be near the top. It involves hard work and many do not follow through.

Friendly Mind Diet aims to help you achieve those goals with minimal exercise. Is it possible? We'll find out.

It takes a friend

Friendly Mind Diet takes a different approach to health and fitness. In this case, it is all about the mind and making good decisions. Friendly Mind Diet uses a point system and it is up to you to rack up as many points as you can. The more points you have, the more likely you are on your way to living the healthiest of lifestyles.

What is in a point

The Friendly Mind Diet listing mentions that the app was developed in part by a doctor. In a nutshell, the app has a myriad of health conscious choices of which you can choose to execute at any given time. Each choice, usually an action as a specific number of points assigned. Every time you execute an action, you accrue a specific number of points. Each item has to do with health, diet choices, decisions, mindset, and you guessed it  Dieting.

Friendly Mind Diet uses a point system to motivate its users

Most of the actions fall in specific categories: "Fight Cravings", "Friendly" and "Mind" are among them. As an example, one of the actions in the "Fight Cravings" category is, "Pick up what you crave, do you really need it? Put it down again". The Mind category has items such as, "Do mindfulness for 30 breaths" and "Identify a negative thought and challenge it".

Some of the Friendly category items include, "Record friendly advice on your dictaphone" and "Recall an inspiring quote". There are a bunch of items in the Diet category as well.

Get those points!

Each of the items mentioned have a certain assigned number of points. Many of the Friendly and Mind items have two points assigned, where the diet items are in the 4-6 range. You can even add your own custom items and assign a specific number of points.

Whenever you complete an action, you record it using the "+" icon. There you can choose an action and automatically, the number of points assigned to that action will be added to your "score".

The idea is that you want your score to go up and up. As long as you are honest with what you have accomplished, in theory, higher scores will mean that you are making more health conscious choices and thus, you should be living healthier.

Conclusion

Friendly Mind Diet is packed with lots of motivational activities, positive thoughts, and executable activities which in theory should have a good impact on your health and mindset goals. It is more than a diet app. Making good decisions, thinking about the long term and fighting vices, cravings and poor health choices are the things one needs to do to accomplish any healthy lifestyle choices. Friendly Mind Diet provides a nice tool to keep you working in a straight line. Download it here.
