Logic Mind is a collection of a myriad of mini apps, with keeping your focus and calm the aim. When you open up the app for the first time, it carries you through a series of prompts requesting that you select your preferred language, and what the app offers in the broadest sense. Examples of those alerts include, "Train Your Mind Everyday" and "Breathe, Relax, Sleep Better" amongst others.
The First Displays Shown On Startup Request Profile & Settings Info
Once you pass these alerts, you're then asked to create a profile name. This is how the app will address you. The main profile page also has options for "dark mode" which if you use any iOS app, you'll be familiar with and some other items we will discuss later which are tied to some features or "areas" of the app. Once all of this is setup, you are ready to go.
If this were the only thing this app had to offer, it would still be worth your time and eventual expenditure (once your trial is over of course). There are two Meditation options. We'll call the first, the "Quick Option". On the center of the Home Screen, you'll see a lightning bolt icon. Click on this, and you'll be brough to the 4-7-8 Meditation part of the app. This gets you to inhale for four seconds, hold your breath for seven seconds and then exhale for eight seconds for whatever duration of time you wish. This duration can be from one minute, all the way to one hour ("sixty minutes" is how it appears in the app). Man, was this a lot of fun.
LogicMind offers many approaches to Meditation
First off, the interface itself is so calming. The choice of charcoal gray with an expanding circle around the prompt is visually mesmerizing. The setup is simple. There is a timer that runs at the duration you set, and the center prompt tells you what to do. There is an AI voice that guides you through the prompts and you have mellow, hypnotizing melodies playing in the background. Now you could say, "do I need an app for this?". Based on the experience, I would say yes lol. Why? Because this forces you to focus on the task at hand. Nice touch.
This here is the meat and potatoes of the app. Tap on the Meditation icon on the home page and you are brought to a huge amount of meditation approaches. A few include, "Mindfulness", "For Sleep", "Natural Sounds", "Breathe Deep" and "ASMR". There are more, but we'll leave those for you to explore. You first set the duration in increments of five minutes (from five to thirty), and then go. Each option allows you to set a "song", one of which is "Angelic Choir". You can then select from a variety of female or male AI voices to guide you through the prompts. We for example, chose "Catherine". Simply tap on "Start Meditation" and you're off.
We'll highlight two here. "For Sleep" prompts you to close your eyes and breathe deeply. The voice then paints images in your head using situations and scenes to think about. It then speaks for aromas to get your head space into a relaxed state. You can opt to pause, loop or exit the current meditation. You can control the volume of the AI voice, music and the speech speed. The knockout for us was ASMR. With ASMR, you get to choose from a whole bunch of background sounds. Some examples are "Rain", "Ocean Waves" and "Forest". Layering on top of the background (the app calls it "procedural"), you can add "Recordings" such as "Satisfying", "Cardboard Top" and "Plastic Bag". Like the other example of meditation, you can set the duration. I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed this. The selection is quite good and I hope the developer adds more options. It's almost like having a massage parlor in your pocket.

In the interest of not making this article too long, the other portions of the app have features that are nicely related to the idea of focus - money management and gaming. The games offered here are more about keeping your mind tack sharp ("training your brain" as the app refers to it). Games included are thinking games such as Sudoku, Quiz, Memory, Math, Flash, Strategy and a few more. Realistically, these games could be separate apps themselves, so you're getting a good value here. The math game offers simple operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Here you drag the answer or the missing number tile into the appropriate slot as the questions appear on the screen, and you're good to go. As you'd imagine, the app keeps score, and tracks your progress over a number of specified time periods. There are some other nice games such as Blocks, Lava Floor and Star Battle. I honestly did not expect to see this much of a selection, so again, nice touch.

LogicMind also offers "brain-train" gaming and ASMR options
Savings lets you track income and expenses. This section isn't super-elaborate. There are more involved options for this sort of productivity tool, but none the less, you can enter in individual expenses and income items. The app will give you projected annual totals of said income and expenses and give a report.
Then there's "Points". Simply put, points allows you to track your progress for every facet of the app. You get an overall summary, a graph, and then individualized data for everything you use on the app. For example, you could track how many quizes you've done, and the amount of points you've amassed.

Well! Is Logic Mind for you? You do get a 30 day free no-commitment trial, so instead of us answering that question, you can figure it out for yourself! Would we recommend it—absolutely. Cost aside, the value goes very far. Obviously, you could go elsewhere for games, but the meditation portion of the app, I'd say is worth it—in the sense that the developer put a lof of effort into the interface and the amount of features that it offers. For me personally, the meditation approaches did work for me in the moment. Many of us are busy bodies, and especially with our devices, are easily distracted. The ability to focus, and be guided through the meditation prompts did put me in a relaxed state, and if you are someone who gets bored with one approach, well, as we have stated here, LogicMind gives you plenty. Check it out and let us know what you think. We believe it is in fact a valuable tool!
